When you live in Delhi, you are never in a rush to see monuments in the city. There is always a next time. After much procrastination, I visited the Safdarjang’s Tomb on a fine summer morning.
The mausoleum is open to visitors from 6 am. We reached around an hour and a half later to an almost empty and desolate place. Though adjacent to a busy road, as you enter the compound you are transported to an utmost calm and serene world.
