If aquatic life interests you, then you should consider Fisheries Science. It covers the different disciplines of aquaculture, such as breeding, genetics, biotechnology, and nutrition. You will learn everything about fish processing, the technology of navigation and seamanship, gear and craft engineering, and marine engines. You will also get to know about Fisheries economics and management.
Students who have completed +2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects can study Fisheries science.
Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) is a four-year course, whereas B.Sc in Fisheries is a three-year course.
Admission to the course is through entrance exams.
At the Post Graduate level, there are two courses.
- M.Sc Fishery Science in Aquaculture
- M.Sc Industrial Fisheries
