The UGC devised B Voc Courses as part of the government’s education policy of giving pre-eminence to vocational or skill-based education. 60% of the course syllabus is devoted to practical training in the select field to prepare the student job-ready by the end of the course.
B Voc or the Bachelor of Vocation courses are regular three-year Degree courses similar to BA, B.com, BBA, and BSc. But, what makes B Voc unique is that it gives multiple exit options for the students during the undergraduate program. Dropouts will get Diploma. Those students unable to continue the course will be awarded a Diploma after the successful completion of one year. Students who opt to exit after two years of study will be awarded an Advanced Diploma.

Candidates who have passed Plus Two with 50% marks are eligible to apply for B. Voc courses. For some courses, admission is based on an entrance test.
After completing B. Voc courses, the students can pursue M. Voc. The duration of the Master’s program is two years.
